ever since i read about pompeii in school
i've always dreamed of visiting the place
what is the city like...that has been gobbled up by lava alive
after arriving at Pompeii, Naples... it feels like an ancient city in a desert
ps. Pompeii has just recently suffered a collapse from heavy rain...hopefully this ancient story won't vanish =(

it doesnt feel like the human figure are real... but they are right? that's so bizarre how their forms are kept...
I dont think they were "real people" I rmb watching this on TV, and they were sculptures made from the empty impression formed by the human bodies that were once there...they pour cement into the empty holes to replicate the shapes.
Karen: this is one place I dreamt of visiting too! hopefully it is not damanged by the rain ><

yup alice is right, those are the body "casts".. it's amazing how the little details such as teeth and clothing textures (from some photos) are preserved.. must've been very traumatic ><
