經過無數個夜晚的家代

禮拜六圓滿落幕

大家合力一起推出的 leMoulin Rouge Icebreaker 大成功!!! =D

中間還有許多需要進步的地方

不過對於第一個跳出 IT 的框框

由頭參予到尾都參予籌備的活動
((也是第一個無法拿大砲從頭拍到尾的活動 QQ ))

特別有感觸

尤其是那些 props 送去 recycle 的時候阿~ 阿~ 阿~ T------------T
((培養了好幾個月的感情了~ *亂入* 哈哈 ))

Interviewing w/ Microsoft

haha i first heard this question from a CS prof back in my 2nd yr.. and then when i googled yesterday... iz also the first question appeared when u search for MS interviewing questions XD

the prep session starts off really casual... and funny

tho too bad my interviewer wasn't him.. seems like a nice guy XD

嗯.. 不過我知道要被入取是不太可能的
(還看到我的 grad TA 在那呢 哈哈..跟她聊了一下)

不過見見世面還是好的..順便習慣一下 CS 的 interviews

開學三個禮拜了...每個禮拜都會吃一次 pizza

Microsoft prep - Pizza Hut

overall... originals 口味來講...pizza hut 竟然是最好吃的 XDD (也比較油啦)

達美樂打了沒....在台灣很好吃..在加拿大...難吃的要命 Orz...

明天10點的 interview... 回來在寫後記吧

10點走進 office 還以為我是第一個..沒想到是第 3 個 XD

問了問 set questions: favorite team project & why MS?

然後直接進入考題


旋凱: so write me a code in Binary Tree...

我大汗....至少有一年半沒碰 binary tree 了吧...用圖解我 okay... 寫 code 寫不出來啊 XD

只好誠實的跟他講這方面我的經驗不夠

結果換了一道簡單的 arraylist question (finding/removing duplicates in a sorted array)

之後還問 MSN 可以增加什麼 feature...

我想了一陣子...他又說或是可以改進的地方

馬上我就想到一堆可以改進的地方 XD ((逃

ex. no feedback on jpeg transfer...and i don't like how the new version's jpeg transfer takes up the whole chatting dialogue

沒想到他下一題竟然問我 Network TCP 的東西!?
(i guess iz because it's related to the file transfer XD)

只好從記憶中挖一年前拿 317 的情景...大概講了下 TCP vs UDP and which one is good
(嚇死我耶..竟然考到 TCP 的東西..腦海頓時閃過小N 在 bbs 上提到的 msn vs wireshark)

後來就差不多結束了

不過考試時間真的是特別快啊 XD

我以為我考 10 分鐘就出來了..沒想到還是有混到 25 分鐘...


哈 interviewer 應該覺得今天這個人是來亂的吧...希望不會拖垮 UBC 的口碑 jkjk XD

alaska 遊記 (下) : 肥來了

Day 5's Skagway is interesting

we took a train pass White Pass Summit (which marks the divider between US and Canada)

一路上的風景很漂亮 (不過代價是站在外面吹風兩小時 XD)

we ride all the way to Fraser BC

(which can also be considered Yukon BC, coz if u want to travel back to BC by a car.. u will need to go up, pass Yukon first, and then drive down to BC)


Day 6's Juneau is the best

though we didn't have time to visit their town
we went for challenging ourselves by hiking to the Mendenhall Glacier in rain from the bottom parking lot
(i heard we were the only tour group that day for the 6 hours hiking)

but iz really really amazing... walking with spiky crampons, ice axe, helmet, and safety belt

真的是名副其實的...翻山越嶺

我們從平地開始走...

到穿梭在森林小路,

到跳石頭跨小瀑布...

到攀岩石 (很刺激) 囧||

走在冰河上時腳步要開...要像行軍一樣用力踏

(基本上穿上這個鞋就可以到處爬冰河了 ex. ice climbing too)

不過我們走的時候要一直線 (怕旁邊的冰會鬆..整塊掉)

回到停車場後整個人虛脫...感覺這禮拜的食物全消化掉了 XD



這趟旅行吃..真的很不錯..有龍蝦, 很嫩的牛排, 很多燻鮭魚...不同好吃的甜點.. cheescake, tiramisu, mousse..

Alaska 的燻鮭魚比 溫哥華...更多..更便宜

船上有健身房, 游泳池 (鹹水...還很冰..大概是直接過濾海水), jacuzzi, 乒乓球桌 (很多高手), 圖書館, 撞球桌 ( Gyro Pool Table... 很有趣因為海面上浪很大...所以建造了一個 Gyro Pool Table 讓球可以保持在水平線...不過有段時間海浪大到這個桌子都反應不過來 XDD...球整個滾一邊), Casio Royal (我贏了 15 USD XDD), Tropical Theare (很多精采的 musicals: combination of chicago, hairspray, west side story..etc)

alaska 遊記 (上) : 肥來了

7 days, 2706 photos, N meals

這次的 Alaska 之旅是很好玩啦...就是太肥了

雨很多 (沒想到溫哥華的天氣還比較讚 XD), 魚也很多 (salmon 產卵季), 鯨沒看到 (雖然同船的已經不知道看到好幾條了...大概是因為我們很少一直待在窗戶邊看海吧)


第一天 @ leaving Ballantyne pier 吃

第二天...吃吃...

第三天 吃吃吃...

第四五六七天..還是吃...

每一餐都太豐盛了...從早上 all u can eat buffet.. 到中午 all u can eat buffet 到晚上 three course meal (w/ some dbl serving = = )...

逼的我比平常還要多運動 XDDD

誰叫它們的名言是... "Arrive as guests and leave as cargoes" T0T

回歸正傳....

第二天和倒數第二天...
because those two days were both "At Seas" so the ship was in full speed...which rock and sway to the point that i feel sea sick for the first time XDD

it's a challenge to walk on decks.... coz u might walk like down hill for a sec.. and then up hill in the next minute... Orz



Day 3's Icy Strait Point is a BIG BIG ripoff XDD
那個小鎮...一所學校... 一百多個學生...五人畢業
我們花了 ~100 USD/person for a wildlife search in rain forest
for two hours we see nothing... only 1 seagull =口=
(we can see far more wildlife in Van...)

不過從 cruise ship 搭小船過去 (tender) 還挺新鮮的

Day 4's Tracy Arm Fjord is where the fun starts..
seeing all different size and shapes of icebergs are really fascinating
