雖然最近朋友在 UBC bookstore 中了頭獎~~~
ipod touch 讓我很羨慕以外
(and actually proof that ubc did give out prizes lol XD )
but POD...Print On Demand!
在印刷界，POD就是print on demand 的縮寫。意思就是想印就印，不會因為要支付傳統製版費，而付出不必要的開銷，因為傳統的印刷製版現在便成了電子檔案，所以愛印多少，就印多少！所以我們稱POD為「自主印」。 -- idealer
之前衣服有跟我詢問印一個單本的紀念冊，不過由於許多 digital printing company 都沒有提供 book binding...所以最後不了了之
(They only do spiral and cerlox on-site)
不過最近在 LPC 工作的 manager 給我看她幫朋友做/畫/排版的彩色童話小說 (The grandma wrote a story & few poems for her grandson)
在這邊印的挺不錯 (RR Donneley)~ 短短幾頁 ，hard cover，價錢雖貴不過非常有紀念價值！
於是就聊起 POD...
她也跟我介紹了幾個網站如: Blurb & iPhoto
(the cons is.. you have to use their template)
umm....but they all still look very tempting lol~ XD
